Dr. C. John Munce ("CJM") first introduced the Munce Discovery Burs during the 2005 AAE Annual Session in Dallas.  Time-tested and durable, the Munce Burs are the original troughing burs.  Prior to their introduction, no endodontic troughing burs existed.  Since their invention by Dr. Munce, others have attempted to copy these burs, but no other burs are engineered with the elegant geometry required to provide an unimpeded view of deep target areas without impinging on canal walls, while also providing the stiffness required for deep endodontic troughing procedures.  These burs don't flex, bend or break and are long-lasting.  The unique carbide fluting and narrow parallel shafts are designed for “chasing” calcified canals, uncovering hidden canals, troughing the isthmus, coring out fiber posts and dissecting the cement-line around metal posts.
