US Army Dental Activity, Ft Gordon
Dr. Matthew Phillips and his wife Tracy live in Evans, GA with their 6 amazing children. Dr. Phillips received a B.S. in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in 2001 and D.M.D from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2005. He entered the US Army and completed a 1-Year AEGD at Landstuhl, Germany. He then served as the Brigade Dental Surgeon and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He received his Endodontic Certificate from Lutheran Medical Center where he also served as Chief Resident. Following an assignment as the Chief of Endodontics in Schweinfurt Germany, he taught Endodontics in the Army AEGD at Fort Carson, CO. From 2018-2022, he has served as the Assistant Program Director of the US Army Advanced Education Program in Endodontics at Fort Gordon, Georgia and took over as Program Director in July 2022. He is an Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Education Association.
