Jia Huang is a Ph.D. candidate in Oral Biology at Rutgers School of Graduate Studies, New Jersey, USA, with an expected graduation in 2028. She earned her Master of Science in Dentistry from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in 2023, conducting research on the effects of the HDAC inhibitor Nexturastat A on dental pulp cells and macrophages under inflammatory conditions. Her thesis, supervised by Prof. Emi Shimizu, delves into the molecular mechanisms by which HDAC inhibitors alleviate inflammation in dental pulp cells and macrophages.
Jia holds a Bachelor's degree in Stomatological Medicine from Southern Medical University, Guangzhou, China, with a major in Dentistry. She received single subject awards in Physiology, Clinical Diagnostics, and Prosthodontics. Currently, as a research assistant in the Department of Oral Biology at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Jia continues her work under Prof. Emi Shimizu's guidance. Her responsibilities include conducting experiments, mentoring undergraduate students, and contributing to research publications.
