Dr. Alex Dahlkemper is a first year resident pursuing a Master of Science and a Certificate in Endodontics at the University of Minnesota.
Research has been a passion of his that he began as an undergraduate student at John Carroll University in the biological sciences department as well as the Cleveland Clinic Lerner institute. He continued pursuing opportunities working with alveolar bone stem cells with Dr. Darnell Kaigler at the University of Michigan School of dentistry where he earned his D.D.S. degree in 2022. He completed a General Practice Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, gaining extensive clinical and operating room experience managing medically complex patients. During the residency, he was co-author with Dr. Miriam Ting on a systematic review analysing reduction of oral viral load of SARS-CoV-2.
Dr. Dahlkemper is passionate for the field of endodontics and advancing practice through academia, research, and leadership. He continues his pursuit of research in the field of endodontics with his mentors at the University of Minnesota aimed to expand our understanding of biofilms.
