PhD student
Piracicaba Dental School, State University of Campinas - UNICAMP, Department of Restorative Dentistry, Division of Endodontics, Brazil
She has a degree in Biological Sciences, a Master's and a Ph.D. from the Agricultural Microbiology program at the Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences - FCAV / Unesp Jaboticabal em Molecular Biology of Microorganisms, with emphasis on analysis of gene expression by Real Time PCR, isolation and characterization of microorganisms applied in bioremediation. She is currently working in collaboration with LMSeq FCAV / Unesp and Laboratory of Synthetic Biology at FMRP-USP working in Soil Microbiology, Ambiental and Clinical, General Microbiology, Microbial Ecology, Interactions between Microorganisms and Hosts, Applied Microbiology, Ecosystem Services, Bioprospecting, Bioremediation and System / Mobiloma. Her skills have an emphasis on cultivation-dependent techniques: bioprospecting and isolation of microorganisms in rich and minimal medium, enzymatic tests, nitrogen fixation, phosphate solubilization, sensitivity tests and resistance to antimicrobials. She also has skills in independent cultivation techniques and analysis of the structure and composition of microbial communities, with an emphasis on DNA extraction techniques, whether prepared or ready protocols, for example the DNA extraction kits, PCR and qPCR technique, and sequencing (platforms, Sanger, Ilumina and Ion Torrent). She presents skills in Bioinformatics for data analysis from new generation sequencing, using the software Qiime, MG-RAST, Trimmomatic, Spades, Soap, Quast, Prokka
