Endodontist, Clinical Assistant Professor
University of British Columbia
Vancouver , British Columbia, Canada
Dr. Natanya Padachey joins us today from Vancouver British Columbia where she has been a practice-owner and full-time specialist in Endodontics for over 20 years.
Dr. Padachey completed a Bachelor of Science degree (Neurobiology) at McGill University, Montreal before receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto. After graduating from dental school, she was selected to complete a dental residency program at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and it is here that she her passion for endodontics started. It was in the hospital setting also, dealing with children and trauma, that she was profoundly exposed to the impact of anxiety and patient care as it relates to pain management, treatment perceptions and patient outcomes. After her residency and a few years in general practice, she went back to school to complete her Specialty degree in Endodontics at the University of Toronto and has never looked back.
She moved west and after starting and growing her own practic, she extended her activities to include community involvement through her study clubs, conference planning, and continuing education to post-graduate residents, dentists, and endodontists in North America and internationally. She is a proud past President of the Canadian Academy of Endodontics and maintains active involvement in higher education as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the post-graduate department of endodontics at the University of British Columbia.
