Endo-restoration is there to seal disinfected root-canal space and restore the missing tooth core to vector occlusal stresses towards stable alveolar bone rather than to weakened pericervical area. Immediate adhesive endo-restoration is based on similar principles as any other direct restoration made of resin composite but challenged usually with high c-factor scenario. It may but does not have to use fiber posts as part of it. Workshop will guide participants through the most common endo-restorative situations and how to treat them predictably within the same session with endodontics treatment.
Goals/objectives: 1. retraction - edge visibility, angle, bond flow, protected from saliva 2. fresh cut dentin 3. bonding layer evenly thick/thin 4. dual-cure delivery + adaptation to walls/posts 5. post selection + insertion 6. resin composite adaptation 7. post removing
Workshop is performed on individually designed 3D printed models using surgical microscopes.
The below prerequisites outline the basic skills/knowledge required to successfully participate in this workshop:
Participant has basic knowledge of adhesive procedures (resin composite to dentin)
Participant will attend/watch a recording of pre-onsite instruction webinar (details to be shared via email) "Restoring Complex Endodontic Treated Teeth Workshop"
Demonstrate material and protocol selection for direct adhesive restoration of endodontically treated teeth with various defet size.
Demonstrate skills to prepare access cavity shape and conditon its surface to successfuly create dentin hybrid layer and accomodate future adhesive restoration.
Conduct such application of resin composite materials to avoid shrinkage consequences within the restoration.
