Dr. Patricia Tordik is a Clinical Professor and Chief of Endodontics at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry who maintains a private practice within the U.M.FDSP Faculty Practice, Baltimore, MD. Prior to teaching at Maryland, she served as the Associate Dean of Navy Graduate Dental Programs, Professor and Chair of Endodontics, at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School, Bethesda, MD, and the Endodontics Specialty Leader to the United States Navy’s Surgeon General. Dr. Tordik earned her DMD at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, NJ Dental School. She completed her general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Castle Point, NY, and her endodontic residency at New York University, College of Dentistry. She currently serves as President of the AAE Foundation for Endodontics, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, a member of the American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. Dr. Tordik retired from the United States Navy after more than 22 years of active-duty service at the rank of Navy Captain (O-6). She has a diverse background in patient care, leadership, teaching, and research, with many published articles in peer-reviewed journals.
