Dr. Romero earned her Dentistry degree from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, School of Dentistry in Mexico in 2007. She completed a Certificate in Endodontics at the Universidad Autónoma de Tlaxcala School of Dentistry in 2011. Continuing her academic career , she achieved a Master’s degree at the Yury Kuttler Institute of Advanced Studies in Endodontics in Mexico City in 2019.
Dr. Romero established a private practice exclusively focused on Endodontics in Puebla, Mexico, between 2010 and 2020. She served as a Clinical Assistant Professor (HS), Periodontics and Endodontics, University at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine (2023-present)
and as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Missouri Kansas City from 2022 to 2023.
Dr. Romero is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, The Mexican Academy of Endodontics and the American Dental Education Association.
She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals in the areas of irrigation and disinfection but she has also developed an interest in managing postoperative pain through the use of intracanal cryotherapy. Her publications on this approach received an honorable mention from the Journal of Endodontics in 2018.
The AAE is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider, a recognized provider in California (#2030), Florida (#PP0049). Programs of the AAE (#214682) are accepted by AGD for Fellowship/Mastership credit. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The AAE designates this activity for up to 29.5 continuing education credits.
