I got a DDS degree from University of Athens, Greee. Completed Endodontics residency at Columbia University, New York, and a PhD in Oral Biology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. My research interests include dentin and bone maturation, applications of microcomputed tomography in hard and soft tissue research and technical parameters in use of CBCT. I have been part of the department of Endodontics and the Center for Craniofacial Regeneration at the University of Pittsburgh since 2011, teaching in clinical, preclinical and classroom settings and following my line of mainly imaging (vibrational spectroscopy, microCT and CBCT) research, as well as providing my microCT expertise to many collaborators at the University.
