Smruti Nair, D.D.S., M.Sc.

Dr. Smruti Nair obtained her Masters in Periodontics and Oral Implantology (MDS) and practiced as a consultant for 6 years. Dr. Nair received her master’s in biomedical engineering in 2018 from The State University of New York at Buffalo with a concentration in biomaterials followed by DScD from Penn Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, Dr. Nair is a postdoctoral research fellow at UPenn. Her research focus is on developing novel, affordable drug delivery platforms to limit infection and transmission of oral pathogens.
