Dr. Derek Peek is a Board-Certified endodontist with specialized training in root canal anatomy and microsurgical procedures.
He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and attended Heritage Hall. He graduated from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology. Prior to entering dental school, Dr. Peek was a 7th grade science teacher and coach – encouraging students to excel both on and off the field.
Dr. Peek graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. He furthered his training at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry for his endodontic residency. He received his Endodontic Certificate and a Master of Science degree. He is an active member of the following organizations: American Board of Endodontics (ABE), American Association of Endodontics (AAE), American Dental Association (ADA), and Iowa Dental Association (IDA). As a staff clinician at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Hospital, he treats patients in the operating room as needed. He is also a Gratis faculty member for the LSU Endodontic Program in New Orleans — Geaux Tigers!
Dr. Peek and his wife Amanda enjoy traveling and seeing new places together. He loves life, playing golf, and the ability to help others receive the dental care they deserve.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The AAE designates this activity for up to 29.5 continuing education credits. Concerns or complaints about a CE provider may be directed to the provider or to the Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition at ada.org/cerp.
