Ruchi Naik is a first year endodontic resident at the University of Illinois Chicago. She graduated from UIC for dental school with a passion for conservation and preservation of the dentition through endodontics. Through her training thus far, she has found patient education and dental literacy particularly of interest, which inspired her to join a larger intra-dental research team analyzing the effectiveness of after-visit-summaries, also known as an AVS. Today she will be presenting the pilot AVS study that was conducted in the UIC Endodontic clinic.
